Available Daily; Pick up 7.00 - 7.30 am. Visit: Wat Rong Khun(White Temple), the Buddhist Temple of the "Fairyland" or "Blissful Land" and also visit the great Black House (Baan Si Dum). The house of National Artist Dr. Thawan Duchanee.

About the places:

Wat Rong Khun, commonly referred to as the White Temple, is a contemporary unconventional Buddhist and Hindu temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand. It was designed by National Artist Mr. Chalermchai Kositpipat. 

Wat Rong Khun is different from any other temple in Thailand, as its ubosot (Pali: uposatha; consecrated assembly hall) is designed in white color with some use of white glass. The white color stands for Lord Buddha’s purity; the white glass stands for Lord Buddha’s wisdom that "shines brightly all over the Earth and the Universe."

Construction for Wat Rong Khun began in 1997 and continues to this day. When completed, the project will consist of nine buildings: the ubosot, the hall containing Lord Buddha’s relics, the hall containing Buddha images, the preaching hall, the contemplation hall, the monk’s cell, the door facade of the Buddhavasa, the art gallery, and the toilets and bathroom building.

The Black House (Baan Si Dum): The House of National Artist - Dr. Thawan Duchanee.
This is the residence of Dr. Thawan Duchanee who is a renowned Thai National Artist. It is also a museum. The area consists of many unique buildings. The main building is called "Baan Si Dum (The Black House)" which is at the entrance. The architecture of the buildings are very unique. There is a great collection of furniture designed by the artist, animal skins, and wood carving. Each building consists of different categories of things that inspired the artist. There is even a talking bird that will say hello to you if you happen to walk by.

Blue Temple (Wat Rong Sua Ten) also known as the Blue Temple, the new landmark of the area. The temple presents its own unique architecture and fine scripture art worth visiting.

Itinerary:

• Pick you up from your hotel (in pick up area) around 7:00 - 7:30 am.
• Visit the Maekhachan Hot Spring.
• Visit the White Temple.
• Lunch.
• Visit The Blue Temple (Wat Rong Sua Ten). 
• Visit the Black House.
• Return to your Hotel/Guest House 7.30 - 8.30 pm. (can be vary depends on traffic condition)

You can choose to finish the program at Central Plaza at Chiang Rai to stay there, but your bag should be small.

Optional activity:

• Visit Long Neck Karen people: 300 THB/pax
• For those who do not buy the optional activity, the tour guide will ask you to wait for others around 1 hour. You can spend your time at the near by market.
